WP5: Testing, Refining and Harmonising Report: Development of the EUREAPA web application
The EUREAPA tool was created to address these challenges and make the complex data
in the FF-MRIO more accessible and relevant. It has been designed as a web based
application with a user interface to allow policy makers and civil society to rapidly identify
the important messages resulting from the FF-MRIO modelling and to identify effective
The tool‟s scenario function encourages users to assess the future impacts of changes in consumption and production that might be caused by policy intervention.
Firstly, this report describes the relationship between the EUREAPA engine and the EUREAPA web based application. The report then gives detail on the web application
development process and explains how stakeholders have been consulted throughout the
design stages. This is followed by a description of the main functions of the application
namely viewing the data and making scenarios.
